Why I built My What Next
Career change deserves more than passing the interview for any old job.
I'm Jane Gibson, founder of My What Next.
My own career has taken me through hospitality, events, technology, government, health and purpose led organisations. I've changed roles and industries more times than I can count, and I know how hard it can be to see where your experience fits when you're trying to work out what comes next.
Over the past three years alone, I've started six new jobs and been through many more applications and interviews than that. Some roles were right for me. Some weren't. But every one of them taught me something — about what I could do, what mattered to me, and what I actually wanted from my work.
I built My What Next from that experience. Not a tool to help you prepare for one interview, but a guide to help you understand your strengths, make clearer choices, and keep moving forward, again and again, for as long as your career keeps changing.

What My What Next is, and what it is not.
Who is it being built for first?
Adults navigating technology redundancy and career change are the first customer group. The longer direction is career guidance that remains useful as work and life change.
Is it a course, job board or answer generator?
No. It is an interactive career guidance product. The first experience uses text practice, thoughtful follow ups, feedback and reflection for a role you care about.
Does it write interview answers for me?
No. The point is to help you find and strengthen your own evidence, not hand you a polished script that does not sound like you.
What does closed beta mean?
The product is still being built and tested with a small group of adults. Access stays limited while we learn what is genuinely useful and complete the privacy, security and release checks.
