My What Next AI Disclosure
Effective date: 1 September 2026
About this disclosure
My What Next uses artificial intelligence to provide career guidance and interview practice through Guided Sessions and Simulations.
This disclosure explains where AI is used, what information may be processed, the limits of AI-generated content and the choices and protections available to you.
My What Next uses AI-supported technology. The specific production AI provider will be confirmed before the closed beta opens.
The My What Next closed beta is operated by BSA Corp Pty Ltd (ABN 22 680 726 327) for Australian residents aged 18 or over.
Where we use AI
My What Next may use AI to:
- tailor questions and prompts using the career and opportunity information you provide;
- generate practice interviewer responses during Simulations;
- provide coaching, feedback and suggested improvements;
- prepare session summaries and suggested next steps; and
- propose information that may be useful in your Career Memory.
AI supports the experience. It does not make employment, recruitment or beta-eligibility decisions about you.
A suggested Career Memory item is not treated as an established fact or saved for future use until you review and approve it.
Information used for AI processing
When you use an AI-supported feature, My What Next may process the minimum information reasonably needed to provide that feature. Depending on what you are doing, this may include:
- career information you have provided or approved;
- relevant résumé and opportunity information;
- relevant approved Career Memory;
- your session answers and instructions; and
- the conversation context needed to generate questions, practice responses, coaching, feedback or summaries.
We do not need to use your password or sign-in credentials for these features.
Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive, confidential or third-party information in your résumé, opportunity information or session responses.
AI training and model development
During the closed beta, My What Next will not use customer content to train or fine-tune an AI model.
My What Next may use limited operational information and voluntary beta feedback to evaluate and improve the customer experience. This is separate from using customer content to train or fine-tune an AI model.
Any future proposal to use customer content for AI learning or model development would require:
- voluntary and informed customer consent;
- a privacy impact assessment;
- Australian legal review;
- fresh approval from the My What Next founder; and
- a clear explanation of what information would be used and for what purpose.
Customers would not be disadvantaged or denied the ordinary service because they declined that consent.
Overseas processing and service providers
The exact processing locations, subprocessors, contractual protections and production retention settings will be confirmed before the closed beta opens and reflected in the published Privacy Notice and this AI Disclosure where material.
My What Next remains responsible for selecting and reviewing its AI providers and for explaining material changes to customers.
Important limitations
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or unsuitable for your circumstances. It may:
- reflect gaps or errors in the information provided;
- produce different answers to similar questions;
- include assumptions that are not correct;
- overlook relevant context; or
- be similar to content generated for another customer.
You should review AI-generated content before relying on, sharing or acting on it. You can correct information, reject suggested Career Memory items and decide whether to save a session summary.
My What Next provides career guidance and interview practice. It does not:
- guarantee an interview, job, promotion or other career outcome;
- predict whether an employer will hire you;
- act as a recruitment or employment agency; or
- replace your own judgement or appropriately qualified professional advice.
Career Memory and customer review
AI-generated interpretations and suggested Career Memory items are proposals, not established facts.
They require your review and approval before they are saved to Career Memory and used to personalise future experiences. You can deselect individual proposals, correct approved information or remove Career Memory items.
Information is not added to Career Memory merely because it appeared during a Guided Session or Simulation.
Changes to AI providers or AI use
My What Next may change AI providers as the service develops.
We may update this public AI Disclosure without contacting each customer where a provider or administrative change does not materially affect how customer information is used or protected.
We will notify customers before a material change, including:
- processing customer information in a materially different overseas location;
- using customer content for AI training or model development;
- introducing a new purpose for customer information;
- materially changing retention or security arrangements; or
- introducing automated decisions that materially affect customers.
Where required, we will seek renewed agreement or consent before the change takes effect.
